Thank you so much for looking after Millie. It was her first time in kennels so we where a bit concerned but we need not of worried as she seemed very happy with you and was not in the least bit stressed. This is the only kennel we will use. Millie sends a little wet kiss to you all.

Thank you for taking care of Ozzie again, he's been happily rolling around since he's been back home. He also ran to Nick before me & hes a mummys boy so it says a lot!! :) thanks again.

Thank you so much for looking after Bess and Max so well during their long stay with you. We knew we had to find the right place for them to stay whilst we were on holiday, and I am glad to say that we could not have chosen better. With previous kennels our dogs have always been desperate to see us and leave as soon as they could. When I came to pick them up yesterday, while they did come up to say hello to me, they then ran off to Nick. It was clear that they both adored Nick and Vic, and that says such a lot. They both cried as well as we drove away from Hayfields they clearly did not want to leave. It is so good to know we have somewhere for them to stay where they want to be, and where they can have such fun. Thank you again Nick and Vic, and see you in June.

A big thank you to Nick & co for having Maizie & Herbie at such short notice, this was their third visit & we hope to book them in again for many times to come.
As always they come home very happy, very muddy & very tired from lots of fabulous walks across the fields.
We would not hesitate in recommending Hayfields to anyone who needs a kennel for their dogs. In addition to the first class care Nick & the team provide for their canine guests, they also provide often much needed reassurance that your beloved dogs will be more than fine!!!!

Hello Nick and all at Hayfields. I would just like to thank you for having Poppy this weekend. It’s nice to know that she is in your capable hands and I don’t need to worry. This was her third stay and I’m sure you will be hearing from us again soon.

Thanks again,

Hi Nick and team - Murphy and Purdy want to say a huge thank you for having them stay with you this weekend and for looking after them so well. They thoroughly enjoyed running around the field and diving in the puddles! Since they have been home, they have both been fast asleep - no doubt dreaming of their weekend adventures. Thanks again, :)

Hi Nick, Vic and all the team at Hayfields. Thank you once again for the fantastic care Holly gets every time she comes for her weekend mini breaks. Having worked hard with Holly for the last 8 months to reassure her that she is finally in a forever home and loved very much we could never leave her with just any kennels. Holly does need lots of reassurance and she gets just that from everyone at Hayfields. The proof is in how relaxed she is with all of you. Keep doing what you all do so well and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Finding Hayfields Dog Hotel was the answer to our prayers.
Since having our dogs Ruby and Belle we could not bring ourselves to leave them in ordinary dog kennels, as they are very much used to home comforts.
Wow, what superb dog accommodation and wonderful facilities Hayfields has to offer.
We have now just returned from Cyprus after leaving our dogs in the capable hands of Nick and Vic for a week. It was a great pleasure to meet you both and see how you really love and care for dogs. The location is fantastic with acres of land for the dogs to run around, Ruby and Belle had a great time.
It was also re-assuring to log onto the website and see photos of the dogs really enjoying themselves and having email contact with Nick. This was a truly First Class service and would have no hesitation in recommending Hayfields to anyone who would care to contact us. We will definitely book the dogs in for next year.
Thanks very much to all for your professional manner and caring nature.

Toby and Katie have just returned from their first week away from home and what a success it was! They were safe, happy and very well cared for. We particularly enjoyed being able to log onto the Hayfield's website from our hotel in Spain to view photos of the crazy duo having fun out in the fields.
So, in the style of 'X FACTOR' it is four massive 'woofs' from us as we all agree that Hayfields have a winning formula that surely must be hard to beat!
Thanks once again and top of our list when planning our next holiday will be to give you a call to check your availability to accommodate and take care of Toby and 'crazy' Katie!

Many thanks to Nick and Co at Hayfields for looking after our 2 "treasures" Cleo and Marshall.Nick commented that they were a "lovely mischevious pair" LOL !
We had been concerned for Cleo as she had been unwell and lost weight before we flew off on holiday. We need n't have worried though,on our return both dogs were quite obviously happy and contented.Cleo had gained just under a kilo too.
We suspect Marshall our rescue JR kept Nick on his toes we've had him described as many things and "mischevious" is probably the the most polite!
A fab establishment and not a hint of that awful disinfectant smell.
Lovely kind people.
Thank you.

A huge thank you to Nick & Jo for taking such excellent care of our much loved (& spoilt) Maizie & Herbie.
We were a tad anxious about leaving them in kennels for 2 weeks (not sure if it showed during our rather reluctant departure) especially as this was the 1st time for our puppy boy & Maizie's one & only experience was not a happy one.
We were so pleased to be greeted by 2 very happy & exuberant dogs who clearly were very contnet in their new home from home and were not in any hurry to leave.
Thank you Jo for the advice on diet especially as Herbie has a sensitive tum and Maizie is just fussy when it comes to boring dog food
I'm pleased we have been able to book them in for the weekend of my son's wedding when their cousin Jasper will be joining them (his 1st kennel experience too).
I am so pleased we have found a caring, loving & happy environment we are all confident to leave our much loved canine babies while we go on holiday.
Thankyou again :)

Just wanted to say a massive THANKYOU to all at Hayfields for looking after our boy Beau for the last few days. We left with apprehension having never left him before only to be reassured several times by Nick that he was behaving - always a worry with a inquisitive Beagle! Since arriving home today, Beau has been calm, asleep, content and asleep!!!! We think he had a ball!! It is great to have found somewhere as beautiful as Hayfields with people who put dogs first but are also excellent with the famillies who trust them to look after their canine companions!! Beau will certainly be checking in again and we would recommend Hayfields in a heartbeat!! Thanks again.xx

Many thanks for taking such good care of Jack during his stay with you. He clearly made himself at home, and when we went to collect him after our holiday he dashed past us to give Nick a huge licking! He quickly settled into life back at home and is very happy after his break.

Having discussed with Nick that Jack sometimes pulls on the lead, Nick agreed to look at the problem while we were away, and we're pleased to say there is a noticable improvement from Jack on his return home.

It is great to have finally found a place we can trust to not only look after Jack, but clearly provide an environment he so enjoyed.

Thank you so much for looking after Dougal so well whilst we were abroad for the week. He has returned home, very relaxed, contented and just slipped back into his former routine.

He seemed to have enjoyed his time at Hayfields, being outdoors so much, even if it was muddy! It meant a lot leaving Dougal in the care of people we could trust and knowing he would be exercised each day and regularly too.

We will certainly be recommending Hayfields

Just a short message to say a MASSIVE thank-you to everyone at Hayfields for taking care and showing patience with our Lab "ZAK". It was not only an experience for ZAK but us as his family and without your help and support it would not have been a reassuring for us all... we really appreciate your patience with ZAK and for allowing him to become "Your Kitchen Dog" !!!!! ZAK has returned home with us today and seems as content as when we left him. Thanks again to all at Hayfields and hoepfully we will see you all again soon!!

I want to say a huge thank you to Nick & Jo for taking care of my baby pup Ozzie, I was so nervous about leaving him for the first time and Nick emailed me regularly and made the effort to blog Ozzie to put my mind at ease :) . They were both right when they said I would be more stressed than he would ! He ran straight passed me when I went to collect him running straight to the field gate where Nick takes them out and then ran straight to greet the other dogs but ignored me!! He settled straight back to normal at home & seemed very content. Thank you both again, we will be back!!

We were going on holiday for a week and it was the firsrt time we were leaving Badger all on his lonesome and I was really worried!

Thankfully.. I had absolutely no need - Badger had a most fantastic holiday of his own! He was happy, relaxed and pleased to see us when we got back that I knew he'd been well taken care of. Thanks so much to all of you for giving us the peace of mind and putting up with our cheeky little Badger!

He can't wait to come back again over the bank holiday.. I think he's looking forward to chasing the sheep and mice again, and of course spending time with his buddy Nick! See you soon... lots of sloppy kisses from Badger! :)

I left Munch for the first time in 12 years to take a much needed holiday. I was very worried he wouldn't cope without me as he hates being away from me, even if friends want to walk him he pulls back to my house and dosen't want to go.
What a joy it was on collection to see him relaxed, happy and chilled out in his room. He was so well looked after and he enjoyed his holiday as much as I did. He spent the first night home getting lots of hugs and cuddles and tried to lick me to death all night :-)
He will certainly be back again next time I can get away for a holiday. Thank you Jo and the team. I will be recommending you to all my friends with much loved dogs. Munch 'the boss' standing up front with his family before Sonny (the red one) and Cassie (the black one) passed away. His last remaing brother Rizza (the white one) is still with us and really enjoyed his holiday too with my friend and her children. thanks again

Hi. sorry it has been a while since I picked up munty but I would just like to say a big thankyou for taking him in at short notice and I can tell he was not stressed at all by staying at your kennels. I do apologise for his desire for balls and maybe next he stays I will bring some wooden bowling balls with me. Thank you Jo once again, and I will definitely be booking him in at your place next time I go away. Also thanks for the advice on alternative foods.

Dear Jo
It has been almost 2 weeks since I collected Cookie from you.
I just wanted to say a huge 'thank you' for the wonderful job you did looking after her.
She is a rather pampered pooch so I knew I had to find the right 'holiday home' for her.

Being a puppy and this her first time away from us gave us some worry.
Well, she obviously loved her time with you.
I can't tell you what a comfort it is to know she was in such good hands.
It sounds dramatic but if it weren't for you we wouldn't go away!

Your advice on her diet has been invaluable. Before she struggled with upset stomachs but since she has been on the raw food there have been no problems and her overall well-being is excellent.

Cookie is looking forward to her stay in November!

Many thanks

Amanda

We have today collected Harry after his very first holiday (and ours since we had him). It was so nice to see him & Barney on the blog while we were away, obviously having a great time. We could see that Harry & Barney were going to have fun together on the day we took Harry to Jo. We did wonder if he might not want to come home to us! Gladly he was happy to see us but he had been very well looked after. We are so glad to have found Jo &' Hayfields'. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him. We now know Harry will also have a great holiday when we next look to go away. He might even get to meet up with Barney again.
 gillbrock@aol.com

A huge thank you to Jo and everyone at Hatfields for the way that they recently looked after Barney.
We have never left Barney before but from the very first moment we met Jo we knew that we could finally go on holiday safe in the knowledge that Barney would be happy and well looked after.
Whilst we were away it was lovely to log onto the Dog Blogg to see that Barney was having a great time and had made a good friend in Harry.
When we picked Barney up it was obvious that he was so happy and we can't thank Jo enough for everything she has done.
The only down side is that since coming home Barney is really really missing his new friend Harry!!
We are already planning future holidays free from the worry of how Barney will be whilst we're away.

Thank You

A big thank you to Jo and her fantastic team for giving Diesel a great time during his stay at Hayfields and for giving us as a family great peace of mind. Like many before we had searched and searched for a place where we felt Diesel would be well cared for and happy and in finding Hayfields we were not disappointed.
During our holiday we logged onto the Hayfields website only to see Diesel in the Rogues Gallery, it made our day!
Diesel came home happy, leaner and alot fitter.
Thank you all once again Jayne, Martin & Jake

A huge thank you to Jo and all the team at Hayfields for giving Jerry such a wonderful time during his stay. We were very worried about leaving him but when we collected him it was clear to see that he was happy, contented and comfortable in his holiday home and could have stayed as long as you like without missing us!! Jo is wonderful and she had arranged a suitable playmate for Jerry as he loves to run with other dogs. He had an absolute ball and I won't worry nearly so much next time we leave him as I know he will be happy and very well cared for. Thank you so much to you all and we look forward to the next stay (especially Jerry)! Lizzie, Paul and Tom. Ps. Lilly is looking forward to Returning, this was the Very 1st time i had every left her any where for more than 1 Night, I looked and Looked for, But not untill i found Jo was i comfortable to leave her with Jo with-out a trial Night, As for Eating Habbits... I had tried everything and some times you forget the basics, Jo brought me and Lilly back on Track with her eating Habbits, I thinks she had a Much better Holiday than i did,

Lilly is Doing 110% better than she was before she even went to Jo,
HayFields, Jo i think you guys can be seen much more than just a Dog Hotel - more like Owner To Dog Rehab and the Dog just gets a wonderful week away :)

Thanks Again for Accommodating me and Lilly, Lilly is looking forward to her next Stop with Hayfield and Jo and Her Team

We left our 14 month old Lab Gerrard with Jo for just under 2 weeks.
From the moment we called Jo to ask her about leaving Gerrard with her she was so accomodating in every way.
Jo let us go and have a look around and take Gerrard to meet her.
Gerrard before he went to Jo was not on the greatest diet and he didnt seem to enjoy his food at all. But Jos knowledge and expertise sorted all that out for us! Gerrard is know licking his bowel and fed twice a day on Natural food.

This really is a Dog Hotel with special care and attention taken with your dogs needs.Gerrard will never stop anywere else when we have to leave him again because nothing comes close to what we have experienced from Jo and her team.

Thank You so much.

We have had bad experiences leaving our treasured yorkies (Taz & Tia) at previous kennels. As you can imagine we were very anxious leaving them with Jo at Hayfields for the first time. The kennels and surroundings are stunning and Jo was very dog orientated nothing was a problem for her. If your dog did not eat Jo or her friend who helps her out would find something your dog liked. We were informed our dogs had chicken and other treats during their stay. Taz & Tia I was informed preferred to sleep in the special chairs they provided in their room rather than sleep in their own bed which was also in the room. They usually sleep with us in our bed,the chairs they preferred were raised slightly from the ground which made sense as to why they liked them. Whilst we were on holiday in the Maldives we had free WIFI in our room, so we checked into Hayfields web site as we were at this time slightly missing the dogs (sad I know - but we love our dogs like they were our kids). To our surprise there was a photo of Taz & Tia mulling about in the field and one of Tia eating from a bowl rather than from a plate which she usually eats from. We tried for weeks to get Tia to eat from a bowl but she would not have it - so thank you Jo and friend for managing what we thought was the impossible. Seeing these photo's of them put our mind at rest and we enjoyed the rest of our holiday knowing they were happy. If you are struggling to find a decent and very caring kennels - look NO further than this place. We can guarantee you will not find better. We searched high and low to find a place like this which cares so much for your dogs (genuinely) cares. I will be using Hayfields at all times now. What I would say is because it is a small kennels and a good one, spaces are limited so book early. We could go on and on as to how happy we were with the care of Taz and Tia but I think you have the picture by now.

Thank you again Jo and friend (sorry we did not catch your friends name) from a very happy Mr & Mrs Macaulay.

I suffer with separation anxiety when away from Mitch so it was with a huge amount of worry and tears that I left him with Jo. My brother who was looking after him let us down at the last minute, I very nearly cancelled our holiday. I told Jo I would ring her every day to check he was ok, and bless her she said that would be fine. Mitch obviouly thinks out of sight out of mind as he settled in with Jo and her dogs almost straight away, and fell in love with them all. He had a better holiday than we did (rain rain and more rain) he was out playing and exploring during the day and snuggled up watching TV with Jo and her husband in the evening. He loved it so much that I don't think he wanted to come home with me. Jo gave me some really good training advise which we have continued with and have an even better dog now. Even if we don't go away next year I will definately send Mitch to Hayfields and Jo for his holiday.

HAPPY OWNERS

We were so anxious about leaving Maggie. She is 16 and has never been away from us even for 1 night. Jo suggested we tried leaving her for a day, then 2 days and finally five days.

Thanks to Jo's loving care, Maggie took to it like a duck to water, making herself very much at home. She spent a lot of time outdoors, which is what she really likes and on wet days, settled herself very comfortably beside their computer in their office!

We cannot say a big enough thank you to Hayfields. We will be back soon.

VERY GOOD AND FRIENDLY SERVICE. MY NEARLY 16 YEAR OLD DOG LOVED IT AND WE WERE ALSO GIVEN SOME VERY HELPFULL ADVICE ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE REST OF HIS TIME WITH US
WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

A Home Away From Home

“ I had a very positive experience boarding my two dogs with Jo at Hayfields. I suffer with probably more separation anxiety than ever my dogs do with regards to leaving them! When I found it necessary to board them for 8 days, I did painstaking research to find a place for Sophie and Jasmine that was closely aligned with my own philosophy. Jo has created a wonderful environment for dogs that feels like an extension of her lovely home, so that the doggie guests feel like family and get plenty of attention. I like the fact that there are never more than a handful of dogs boarding at any one time... there is no anxiety or rows of barking dogs here! The grounds of her property are beautiful and the girls got plenty of outside time which was a vital component of my decision to board them with Jo... as was the wholesome, all-natural diet she feeds, just like they get at home! My girls looked fabulous, vibrant and full of energy when I returned to collect them. I would not hesitate to recommend Jo and Hayfields to

Lilly's Holiday

“ Lilly,is a boisterous fun loving two year old labrador. We were concerned about putting her into kennels as we had a previous bad  experience. Jo Amsel, the owner, took Lilly under her wing and gave her a loving home environment together with some training and lots of exercise in Hayfield's extensive grounds. We will most definitely use the kennels again. We feel that with Jo's own dogs a lot of optional socialising is available, which for Lilly was a very good thing. She made a very good friend with a resident sausage dog!. Thank you Jo for the lovely photos you sent. ”

Moth's Stay At Hayfields

“ Hayfields is aptly titled as a Hotel. It is clean beautifully kept and the kennels are the perfect size for small dogs. Jo clearly loves all the dogs she owns and has to stay and they are very well cared for with lots of walks and running free. ”

Arthur Foster, Buckinghamshire

Hayfields Dog Hotel Citation

“ The most important thing dog owners want to know when they're away is that their dogs are being properly looked after, fed well and loved. Jo Amsell is a dog lover through and through - and we quite simply wouldn't trust anyone else looking after our boys. Our dogs come back happy, fit, healthy and, dare we say it reluctantly after we collect them!
Barry & Amanda Cashin ” Hertfordshire

Home From Home

“ My dogs (a toy breed) have always been very happy and well cared for at Hayfields. They range in age from 13 years with special needs, to 1 year. All their needs are catered for and they come home looking as fit and happy as when I left them. Wonderful personal service and the kindest of attention.

This is an establishment to which I travel many miles to leave my dogs, as I trust them with no-one else. ”

 Pat Spencer, Gwent

Hayfields Is Gorgeous! My Dogs Love It There!

“ The only place I leave my dogs is at Hayfields with Jo. My dogs love it there. I trust very few people with the care of my dogs (I tend towards being neurotic about them) and Jo is one of the few.

I had an awful experience with another boarding kennels where my dogs spent a week there and when I picked them up they had lost a lot of weight, and were depressed and listless. I vowed never to leave them in kennels again but was really stuck, and a friend recommended Hayfields in really glowing terms so I went to visit. I’m very thankful that I found Hayfields as I can now go on holiday without worrying about my dogs being OK. I know they’re better than OK!

My dogs are excited when we drive up to Hayfields and they realise where we’re going, and they’re always over the moon to see Jo – wagging their tails furiously, jumping up at her and greeting her like a long lost friend! Sometimes you’ve just got to listen to the dogs.

The set-up at Hayfields means that the dogs are in the house and part of every day life, but they get their own space to kick back and relax. And they also have access to their own outdoor space which makes a huge difference. This is no smelly kennel set-up with clanging metal doors! The dog suites are integrated into Jo’s stunning home and the whole place is spotless. And it’s no exaggeration that the dogs have their dinner cooked in the Aga!

The countryside around Hayfields is beautiful and I’ve walked with Jo around her land with my dogs – it’s a great place for the dogs to get lots of exercise and eye up the sheep in the surrounding fields - all securely fenced off so no worries there. The secure paddocks where the dogs can run free are brilliant. And the CCTV cameras trained around the house and land are a definite plus from a security perspective.

I would recommend Hayfields and Jo to any dog! ”
